Calling youth services in 42 areas in England to apply for up to £100k of funding for vehicles and equipment to support young people as Round 2 of Better Youth Spaces fund opens for applications (on 6 October).
A second ‘equipment only’ round for the Better Youth Spaces fund has been announced by Social Investment Business, allowing more time for youth services in 42 priority areas in England to apply for equipment grants to support the young people they work with.
Better Youth Spaces was launched by the Prime Minister on Wednesday 6 August, and aims to bring fast paced benefits to youth organisations. Equipment grants for this second round could cover things like new sports, music, or art equipment, a new vehicle, furnishings, IT, or security equipment.
Rob Benfield, Director of Investments at Social Investment Business, said:
“We are pleased to be able to extend this opportunity for youth organisations to apply for vital funds to improve provision for young people. This final round for vehicles and equipment only applications will allow more organisations to access the funding. Our hope is that every eligible service has the chance to apply for a grant to support their service.”
Better Youth Spaces funding is available to not-for-profit youth organisations in 42 priority areas, selected by the government based on the Income Deprivation Affecting Children Index (IDACI) at upper tier local authority level.
Better Youth Spaces Round 2 opens for applications for vehicles and equipment from Monday 6 October 2025 and closes midday Thursday 6 November 2025.
