Careers/Work with us
At SIB, we provide finance and support to help charities and social enterprises grow and thrive. We believe in the power of the social economy and are proud to champion the organisations we work with. Together, we’re building stronger communities and a fairer society by financing social change.

It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re growing, investing in our expert team, and building on the successes of recent years.
Benefits
Health and wellbeing
We care about the health and wellbeing of our team, and we implement a number of initiatives to support this. WeCare and Employee Assistance provide 24/7 telephone support, counselling, GP referrals and appointments. We also offer up to £300 per year to use towards your wellbeing, which can be used to cover dental care, spectacles, gym equipment or memberships, support for your mental health and much more! We have digital detox afternoons once a month and hold a specific Health and Wellbeing week each year which includes all sorts of activities from picnics, health advice and tips, to art classes
Learning and development
We support our team members to develop their skills, learn new ones and to have the tools they need to contribute proactively to their own, longer term career journey. We implement an organisation wide training plan as well as training plans for each individual in our team. We provide formal training, webinars, support towards qualifications, on the job learning, secondments, e-learning and more.
Financial wellbeing
We want to support financial wellbeing beyond salaries. This means we offer a generous pension scheme, life insurance, enhanced maternity, paternity and parental leave pay, cycle scheme, and Perkbox, a platform the team can use to access over 200 discounts and savings.
Leave
Having time away from work is fundamental to overall wellbeing. We provide 25 days annual leave, plus eight bank holidays, three days leave at Christmas, one day off for your birthday, study leave, volunteering leave and enhanced family friendly leave including paternity, maternity, adoption and shared parental leave.
Flexible working
At SIB, we have adopted remote and flexible working wholeheartedly. It’s our belief that giving autonomy, trust and freedom to the team enables a culture which puts people first, gives work/life balance and genuinely supports equality, diversity and inclusion. We provide the technology and equipment to work from home, and offer up to £400 a year for each employee to use for remote working costs, whether that’s used for wifi, utility bills or a fancy home office. We all see each other in person at the whole team meeting every 2 months, usually in London , but we also encourage the team to meet up more often than that too, whether that’s in an office space desks or a cafe.
Current vacancies
We welcome applications in an applicant’s own words and discourage applicants from using automatically generated software. Our blind recruitment system requires individual responses to work sample questions.

Our employee commitments
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
At SIB, we want our team to represent the diversity of the people and communities that we serve. We also want our organisation to be one where different backgrounds, experiences, expertise and perspectives are valued, and where everyone is encouraged to grow and develop. This means that when recruiting we actively seek to reach a diverse team.
Living Wage Employer
We’ve been accredited as a London Living Wage employer.
The Living Wage is an hourly rate set independently and updated annually. The Living Wage is calculated according to the basic cost of living using the ‘Minimum Income Standard’ for the UK.

- Ensuring our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible
- Communicating and promoting vacancies
- Offering an interview to disabled people who meet the minimum criteria for the job
- Anticipating and providing reasonable adjustments as required
