Following a large spike in demand for Big Potential we are now in a position to announce more specific deadlines for the Big Potential programme. The key information you need to know is…
- Submitting your diagnostic: If you are applying for Big Potential Breakthrough you have until midday on Friday 30th June to submit your diagnostic report. If you are eligible for the programme and you would like to have a 1-1 session you need to submit your diagnostic report by this time. Once submitted you will then then need to book your 1-1 session in July. In the 1-1 an independent adviser will discuss your investment readiness needs with you.
- Grant applications: Earlier this year we announced that the deadline for all applications (for both Breakthrough and Advanced) would be midday on Wednesday 11th October. This is now likely to change. Due to a large spike in demand this date is bring brought forward. We will confirm the new deadline w/c 12th June but it is likely that the deadline will be bought forward by at least two weeks. Any Big Potential applications received after the deadline will not be accepted so please keep an eye out for further updates.
Big Potential Breakthrough offers two different types of grant, Preliminary and Investment Plan. The grants can be used to help pay for expert support from approved providers to help you explore social investment.
Preliminary grants of £20,000 to £30,000 are available to organisations who want to find out how social investment might work for them. Investment Plan grants of £40,000 to £50,000 are for those organisations who have a better idea of how social investment may help them.
Big Potential Advanced offers grants of between £50,000 and £150,000. The grants can be used by organisations that are clear about how social investment could work for them and can describe a potential deal or interest from investors. Advanced grants can also be used to help win contracts of at least £1m.
If you would like to apply for a grant please register and complete the diagnostic tool. If you are eligible and you would like to proceed you will then be able to enter the next stage of the process, a 1-1 session with an independent adviser who will discuss your investment readiness needs.
