Social Enterprise Investment Fund

Please note that this fund is closed to new applications.

The Social Enterprise Investment Fund (SEIF) was set up in 2007 by the Department of Health to invest in social enterprises providing health and social care services in England. The Fund aimed to enhance the role of social enterprise in the provision of health and social care.

The SEIF empowered local people and front line staff who wanted to form social enterprises to enhance their role in transforming public services in health and social care. Since it began in 2007 the SEIF has invested more than 110million in the health and social care sector.
